Let's Talk About Jewelry Art! ...and other things too...
I am interested in promoting my jewelry to the individual who appreciates handcrafting and who enjoys wearing pieces of jewelry that are unique. I hope to connect with persons who are interested in buying my jewelry. I would be interested in inquiries to participate in craft/art shows. Custom orders taken.

Exclusive EJA Line of Jewelry
My group, the Eclectic Jewelry Artisans, has divided the artists into pairs. Each pair will create jewelry that will be sold exclusively at the website, www.eclecticjewelryartisans.com. This should be interesting...in my case, I do mostly metalwork and my partner, www.Baxtershouse.etsy.com does mostly bead work. She does beautiful beading and mixing our mediums should be fun...and hopefully result in the creation of awesome jewelry. We are going to focus on the Autumn palette.
So...if you are looking for new pieces for your fall wardrobe, check out the site at the end of August when all of the Exclusive EJA pieces make their debut.

I AM JUST HAPPY!
This is short...you live long enough, experience and learn from it, understand that there is so much in life that you will never live long enough TO understand...some things maybe we are meant to ...
Tears,fears,loves,laughter,joy,sadness...expected and unexpected things that happen...
Well, I am just rolling every one of them into a neat ball (ok...maybe a few strays hanging out)and embracing it as life ...and I am giving myself permission to be JUST HAPPY! What a path this has been!

Toot Your Own Horn
You know every once in a while we should be allowed to "toot our own horn"...So that is what I am doing...gotta say...it is liberating. In fact, I feel more like screaming over the horn...I think...that would make me feel even better...but...I won't. I work at my art, making metal jewelry, copper and silver. I try and make something original...as original as the human brain and mind can conceive...yet there is always someone across the miles making the same thing...thinking theirs is original too. So much for our limitations.
If you have an inclination...check out the rest of my jewelry art at www.gypsydesignjewelry.etsy.com
I knew it...I just can't toot just my horn...I am busting to tell you about all my fellow artisans...the most talented bunch of ladies and gents across the world...yea...world. We all come together with our approaches of metal, beads, glass...and sass. We are known as the ECLECTIC JEWELRY ARTISANS... and you can find all of our work at our website. www. EEJA.org
So take a look...bet you will be tooting our horn, too.

I AM REMINDED!
Sometimes when we try to be creative, I think the word "try" gets in the way. It is as though the two ideas are at opposites. TRY AND BE CREATIVE...uhmmm... just doesn't work! Trying is an exercise in frustration. A focussed strain to produce...breathe held. Creating is opening up and being mindful of the flow of positive energy and ideas. Breathe flows freely.
You ask why I write this today? I just visited the Eclectic Jewelry Artisans website (www.eeja.org). I am amazed to see the creativity of my fellow artisans. We have such diverse and talented artists ...each translating mediums of beads and metals to their own individual style and expression of art.
Visit WWW.EEJA.org ...I think you will agree. Oh, by the way, Mother's Day is just around the corner!

Artists in our Many Disguises
I am talking about the group of extremely talented women that form the Eclectic Jewelry Artisans at www.EEJA.org.
The focus of each artist in this group is the creation of beautiful and artistic jewelry...mostly one of a kind pieces. From beadwork to silver and goldsmithing, each artisan stands out as a true master of her medium and style.
This is remarkable enough...but...what is further amazing is that most of the artisans in the EJA moonlight with other mediums of art as well...spreading their creative expressions over paintings, stained glass, mosaic, glass beads, sculpture and even creative writing.
Truly a group to keep your eye on...www.gypsydesignjewelry.etsy.com, a proud MEMBER OF THE EJA

WE NEED SPRING!
« Spring is here already? The Winters used to seem so long...I was young then. Now time and seasons go so quickly. Spring, I must get some flowers in, Summer, I have to go on at least one picnic and wade in the creek too. Fall, my favorite, I simply like to reflect...what happened in Spring and Summer is now coming to an end...(along with eating apples from the farmers stands. )Winter, wraps the whole year up in a white blanket and patiently waits for SPRING!
I love them all, they just all go too fast. This a picture of a hummingbird on my back deck one Summer. I look forward to the hummingbirds coming back each year.
Enjoy!

EJA Going Strong!
The Eclectic Jewelry Artisans, a group of jewelry artists with individual style, are going strong with the promotions of www.EEJA.org. Starting at Etsy.com as a Street Team, the team continues to grow in comradery and each artist contributes by blogs, personal website linking to the group, advertising and a recent press release.
The reason? . . . www.EEJA.org has the most unique collection of jewelry style, design and material used to create (many times) one of a kind pieces. From beads, crystals, silver, and gold...the unusual finds are from sophisticated to organic.
Each artist and the EJA as a group prides itself in providing unique artisan jewelry with emphasis on quality and client satisfaction.

I thought the whole point of this was to join in
So...where are my "joiners"...ok, I don't blame anyone for not commenting...
Really now, what makes us believe that anyone is interested in our individual lives or happenings therein?
Most of the days start with a stumble to the coffee pot and the hope that there are still a few beans left in the bag to make the brew...and then you wonder whether someone drank all the milk. On a good day, both things come together...and that is an okay beginning.
I have already wondered before my eyes opened," what is today and what do I have to do"? Why did I wake up long before the need or even the alarm?
Hey...the good thing is I woke up.

Craft Council Show in Baltimore
Great show in Baltimore this last weekend. I went with the family and spent most of the day on Sunday. Amazing talent...diverse mediums of art. Truly a pleasure to see...I saw the show for the first time last year...really looked forward to seeing it this year...my little granddaughter , Chloe, was just about 6 weeks old last year...this year she returned with us at the ripe age of 13 months and loving every minute. She will definitely grow up with art in her soul.
To me ...she is a piece of ART.

EJA Member #9
I am a silver jewelry artist. Although I have been doing this for a while, I really have not been self promoting...until now that is!
I joined Etsy.com last November to start my own jewelry store on their site. It is for "all things hand made"... There on Etsy, I was accepted into a group of talented women who do diverse and interesting types of jewelry art.
THAT IS WHY I AM WRITING...that group is called ECLECTIC JEWELRY ARTISANS or EJA for short...we have a website at www.eeja.org. Anyway, today I got my "wings"...ok, not really wings...but even better. I got an emblem to display with my own number...number 09...I AM PROUD #09. I am bowing to Ahna of Ahna.etsy.com, who is our fierce and talented leader. Thanx, Ahna
